Weft for Mac
Your saved posts from every platform, in one library you can search and ask questions of. It runs entirely on your machine: no account, no server, nothing uploaded.
This build is for Apple silicon.
Weft bundles its own database and search model, both compiled for the M-series chip, so
there is no Intel build yet. The live demo runs in any browser in the
meantime.
After it downloads
- Open the
.dmgand drag Weft to Applications. - Open it. The first launch sets up your local database, which takes a few seconds.
- Install the browser extension when it asks. That is what brings your saves in.
Nothing downloads in the background: the database and the search model are already inside the app, so it works on a plane.
Where your library lives
~/Library/Application Support/Weft. Dragging the app to the Trash leaves it
there, which is what you want when reinstalling. To remove everything, delete that folder
too. Settings → Export writes a single file you can keep or move to another Mac.
